Amazing free software

On Monday 9th February Mind members used an amazing piece of free software, Audacity its a musical editing program. They used it to edit some music for a film they are making. Using the software you can mix multiple tracks together, change the tempo and add fades in and out it can also do lots of sound effects. The software can be downloaded at http://audacity.sourceforge.net/.

Healthy eating session

Mind members attended a Healthy eating session on the 4th February. They made Red lentil curry and potato pancakes. These recipes are fairly easy to make and are tasty if you like spicy foods. Members took part in the preparation and cooking of these dishes.

Virtual tour film launch

Members of Mind have been busy creating a virtual tour of the Mind building. Photos were taken during various activities and sessions and the photos were enhanced using Picasa - picture editing software which is free!
The film was made to show prospective members what goes on in Mind and to encourage them to join in and take part. It shows off Mind's commitment to health and wellbeing by highlighting its healthy eating, cooking and activity sessions.
Well done to Byron and Darren for making the film - we love the funky music too!
